Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
Local author and poet Margot Genger reads from her book Shift Happens.— Breakdowns During Life's Long Hauls, her debut memoir and first full-length work. The book describes her battles with mental illness, drugs, and alcohol, as well as how she learned how to drive truck at CR and became a long-haul truck driver in the 1970s. The event is open to the public, and copies of her book will be available for purchase and signing.
