Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

The Entolomataceae: A Unique and Unusual Family of Mushrooms Online

When: Wed., Sept. 23, 7-9 p.m. 2020
cccconfer.zoom.us/j/97235485132?pwd=VlNNQndBVWpRL2ZwcVhlMVJ0ekpVQT09
The entolomatoid mushrooms have a worldwide distribution and contain more than 3000 described species. Though the fruiting bodies of members in the Entolomataceae are considered very diverse macroscopically, Dr. Largent’s presentation will help us learn to recognize the entolomatoid mushrooms. He will visually define the Entolomataceae and provide examples of its distribution and fruiting body diversity. By presenting some research findings regarding the Entolomataceae, Dr. Largent will provide us with insight into how he thinks the family should be studied in the future. Zoom password: 731225
