The Entolomataceae: A Unique and Unusual Family of Mushrooms

When: Wed., March 18, 7-9 p.m. 2020
This presentation, led by Dr. David Largent, will help folks learn to recognize the entolomatoid mushrooms. He will visually define the Entolomataceae and provide examples of its distribution and fruiting body diversity. The entolomatoid mushrooms have a world-wide distribution and contain more than 3000 described species. Dr. David Largent is Professor Emeritus of Botany at Humboldt State University. He has been Scientific Advisor to the Humboldt Bay Mycological Society since he and a group of his students founded the club in 1978.
