Restoration Planning for Greater Sage-Grouse Populations--CANCELLED

Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for an informative presentation by Beth Fitzpatrick. The Greater Sage-Grouse has been in decline across the West, losing roughly half its historic range since European settlement. However, the species was removed from the candidate list for federal Endangered Species Act protection due to conservation and management efforts. Beth Fitzpatrick, a graduate student at Humboldt State University, will share her work assessing landscape characteristics on breeding site distribution and functional connectivity, crucial elements of sustaining genetic diversity. Refreshments at 7 p.m. and the program will begin at 7:30. Bring a mug for shade-grown coffee.
