Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
Dr. John DeMartini will present on “The Cryptic Lives of Gall Formers” on Friday, February 17. This free public lecture, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center, is sponsored by Friends of the Arcata Marsh. The speaker is a retired Humboldt State biology professor and FOAM docent. DeMartini’s presentation will discuss insect-caused “warts and bumps” occurring on local vegetation, a follow-up to a fascinating, well-attended lecture he gave in September 2016.
