Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
This moderate hike is an opportunity for participants to learn about native plants and how to identify them. Come take a walk with Cheryl Lisin of the Lost Coast Interpretive Association and explore riparian, chaparral and forest habitats. The 2.5-mile walk takes place on the Pacific Rim Trail in the King Range. Meet at the Sanctuary Forest office at 315 Shelter Cove Road #4 in Whitethorn at 9:30am. The hike will conclude by 3:00pm. Bring a lunch and water, and dress in layers.
