Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
Humboldt State University will host a morning of civic engagement and community organizing workshops in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, Jan. 18. LaTosha Brown, a thought leader, social strategist, and co-founder of Black Voters Matter, will provide a keynote address beginning at 9:30 a.m. The events will take place on ZOOM, and registration is required.
