KEET Asian Americans Screening and Discussion

KEET-TV is hosting a virtual film screening of the five-hour series Asian Americans followed by a panel discussion hosted by journalists, Jennifer Fumiko Cahill of the North Coast Journal. Local guest panelists include Pata Vang, a clinical social worker at With Open Arms, Roger Wang, Dean of Students at HSU, and Shomick Mukherjee, a journalist with the Times-Standard. Panelists will discuss issues revealed in the short film. Asian Americans looks at ways in which the Asian experience in the U.S. illuminates the larger American story. The series explores the role Asian Americans have played in the evolution of the American identity, in the context of migration, diversity, and global connectedness.
