Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
The City of Arcata and Friends of the Arcata Marsh are seeking volunteers for an Arcata Marsh work day on Saturday, September 21. The focus will be on removing invasive non-native plants. The event will start at 9 a.m. and end around 1 p.m., but you don’t need to commit to helping during the entire 4 hours. The City will provide tools, gloves, and a pizza lunch. Bring water and dress to get dirty! Meet at the Interpretive Center’s South G Street parking lot at 9 a.m. For more information, contact George at georgez@humboldt.edu.
