Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
Celebrate the flower of love by attending the Humboldt County Rose Society’s
meeting on February 14
On Thursday, February 14 at 7 p.m., at its regular meeting, the Humboldt Rose Society
will have a program on new roses being introduced in 2019. Why just give your true
love a dozen roses on Valentine’s Day? Learn about this year’s new roses and give
roses for a season and years to come.
The group meets at Christ Church, Episcopal, in the Lewis Room, at 15th and H Streets
in Eureka, 7 p.m. (entry on 15th). Ample parking at 14th and G St. There are always
refreshments, door prizes, and a warm welcome to guests, long-time rose growers, or
wish-they-weres, with helpful information available.
For questions about the group or the meeting: (707) 443-1284 or
roseladygardener@yahoo.com. Information about the Rose Society and roses is
available at the Society's website, www.humboldtrose.org.
