Godwit Days Activities

Vendor booths, live bird presentation by Sequoia Park Zoo (11:30 a.m-2 p.m.), silent auction (closes at 6:30 p.m.), festival merchandise. Field trips, kayak trips, other events throughout day. Presentation of children’s bird art and nature writing contest awards at 10:30 a.m. Free family nature crafts sponsored by Friends of the Arcata Marsh 11 a.m-1 p.m. Presentation of sixth Humboldt County Bird of the Year Award at 7 p.m., immediate before keynote by Peter Marra of the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center on birds and outdoor cats.
