Enough About Bees: Flies are Pollinators Too

Michael Mesler has been teaching botany for over 40 years at Humboldt State and will talk about flies as pollinators. Flies are the second most common flower visitors in California, after bees, and some of the most beautiful native plants rely on flies for pollination. Michael will discuss these plants including slinkpods, tway-blade orchids, wild ginger, iris and Lewisia.
