Education Under Occupation: Moving from Hopelessness to Informed Action

HSU professor Janet Winston discusses her recent trip to Palestine/Israel to meet with Palestinian professors and human rights activists. Her presentation will focus on access to higher education in the occupied Palestinian territory. She will summarize barriers to education and highlight stories of creativity and resistance. The talk will conclude with ideas for how people in the U.S. can move from bewilderment or hopelessness to informed action. In Library room 317.
