Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Please join the HSU Library's celebration of author John Steinbeck's birthday by hearing a presentation by Tom Gage on February 27, 4-5pm in the Fishbowl (Room 209). Eleven years before the opening of Humboldt Normal School, John Steinbeck, California's only Nobel Laureate in Literature, was born in Salinas. Tom Gage's presentation "Captain Bill Jones & Steinbeck's EAST OF EDEN" explains the connections between John Steinbeck and Captain Bill Jones, and Gage's family who lived in the Salinas Valley during WWI.
