Audubon Birding Tour

Meet leader Ralph Bucher for a walk along the Shorebird Loop Trail where winter regularly brings almost countless Aleutian cackling geese, white-tailed kites, northern harriers, red-tailed hawks, and peregrine falcons. You will have excellent views of wintering shorebirds and water birds that find great foraging habitat in the ponds and mud of this wildlife refuge. Black-capped chickadees, yellow-rumped warblers, kinglets, hermit thrushes, wrens, and many other species abound. The 2 mile walk is easily accessible on a wide, flat, packed gravel trail. Please visit www.rras.org for COVID-19 participation guidelines. Text or email Ralph to sign up.
