Using homemade marionette puppets, textiles, and props, the show tells the story of Peggy Pilgrim and Toe-Tapping Tommy, two wandering spirits who become friends in a world where all travel and spontaneity has been banned by the Good Old Government. Nobody involved in the making of this puppet show had any clue how relevant this story would become, and the show's theme of personal growth and resiliency, in spite of obstacles, now seems universally relevant.
