Anyone ever seen the front of Dean Glasers yard?
Its a total dumpster.
When we lived in Fortuna, before moving out of the state a year ago, Dean lived just 2 blocks over.
His house was a vile roach motel of boats and parts, unkept landscaping and overgrown bushes. Could hardly see the front of his house through the unkept crap.
He works on boats out front of his house all the time, either running a business or I dont know.
His house is its own statement. His statement says I dont give a crap about what my house looks like or what the neighbors think of me, Im doing it anyways.
I have known Dean for 30 years, as he use to work with my ex at Safeway and he has always been a bit of an odd critter. He was a SCOPE officer for a while which surprised me, then took an active role on the Fortuna City council. No clue how that happened but its just one more reason Im glad Im gone. ( miss my friends and I do miss Fortuna and the area )
Anyways, to me his yard is rather offensive, not to mention that on satellite view, hes constructed buildings on every square inch of his entire property and ignored every single legal setback law on the books. Hes got sheds and buildings 1 ft from the fence and his other buildings look like theyre touching and overhanging their fence. Its nuts.
He could care less about the pole, it just gave Dean yet another reason to bitch and moan about something so he feels like hes got a voice and to draw attention to himself.
If he cared about the looks or the message of something, he would start by fixing his own house to start with. Its one of the biggest eyesores in the city.
Miss you Humboldt. Wish the state didnt screw itself up so bad that almost every member of my family fled the state in exile due to ridiculous laws and radical taxation, forcing us to take our 2 businesses elsewhere.
As far as the conservative comment by HumboldtTricks above, he may be a conservative on paper, but the Dean I know is not conservative at all. Hes rather liberal on all fronts, but thats neither here nor there. Regardless of personal choice of politics, this is just wrong.
PS: Trying to throw in a political bash on a post like this against conservatives is just sheer nonsense and what Ive come to expect from the bitter left.
