This 50th anniversary commemoration of the great 1964 flood in northern California features short talks by local scientists, stories from witnesses, an immersion in the times and tunes of 1964, and short films and slide shows. Food and refreshments will be available. Tickets can be purchased at the Arcata Theater website or at the door. Sponsors are The Smith River Alliance, Cascadia GeoSciences, The Mad River Union and Wild Earth Press. Proceeds go to Humboldt County Red Cross.
